The Real Housewives of Austin

Posted on Nov 28, 2018 in Shows

I’ve done some dumb things for my show Waterbed including assembling, filling, draining and destroying an actual waterbed – the destruction wasn’t planned, but became unavoidable. HOWEVER – this upcoming show ISN’T one of them. The Real Housewives of Austin Live Reunion Special might be the most ambitious show I’ve put up. Once again, I’m leaning heavily on some of Austin’s funniest people. Here’s the Facebook page for the show. If you have any questions, ask them there and I’ll answer’em. Thanks!
Oh and you can save a few bucks with advance tickets – available here.

Headlining the Velveeta Room

Posted on Aug 19, 2018 in Shows

I think this might be my fifth time headlining the Velv. The last two were in the summer with Amber Bixby opening, so why ignore a winning formula? Three shows this coming weekend. One Friday at 9pm, two Saturday at 9 & 11. But heads up – the Friday late show is The Banter Show, which I’ll be hosting with Ximena Blake as usual. There’s a lot of Mac on the menu, but Andrew Wagner and Leo Garcia are joining Amber and myself.

Canceled with Chris Cubas

canceled podcast

The very funny Chris Cubas hosts Canceled, a podcast dedicated to TV shows that never saw a second season. I joined Chris for six episodes (132-137) as we watched the first and only season of FreakyLinks. “An X-Files for the Blair Witch generation” is how I’m guessing it was pitched to some bored TV executives. It stars Ethan Embry (Can’t Hardly Wait) as a paranormal blogger and a total wanker. All the FreakyLinks episodes are on YouTube, if you’d liked to watch, listen, and suffer along with Chris & myself. Or maybe just watch the fifth episode of FreakyLinks, “The Desert Squid”. That one wasn’t too terrible.

Uncomfortable

I directed one episode of Yola Lu’s web-series Uncomfortable. Everyone working on it was very nice. I wore a hat the whole time, like Ron Howard. The episode is below. You can see the rest of the eps right here.

Very excited to be performing three shows at this year’s Moontower Comedy Festival. It used to be called the Moontower Comedy & Oddity Festival but that was before festival mainstay Kurgan the Were-pig / prop comic died.
Check out the fest’s line-up including including my shows. There’s so many good shows and multiple opportunities to see millionaires do comedy.

The Year in Review Show 2017

the year in review show

Sure, calendars are just human constructs so we can keep track of what model Ford Fiesta we’re driving, yet I do feel optimistic when the year changes. But before we start 2K18, wouldn’t it be nice to get some closure on the 12-month long anxiety dream we never woke up from?

Come watch Austin’s funniest recap, roast, and exorcise 2017 at the 5th annual Year in Review Show. 50 comedians recap the year with short Weekend Update-style jokes. I’ll be co-hosting this amazing show along with Lisa Friedrich and Rob Gagnon from ATX Comedy Hour. All proceeds go to SAFE Austin. Click here to see the full line-up, and save a few bucks by with advance tickets.

Yeah, I made the poster. But yeah, I just ripped this off. Steal from the best!
