David McQuary and I started stand-up around the same time. He has a hyperactive comedic mind, always working on new jokes, and once finished moving on to the next idea. David would discard bits that other comedians (such as myself) would keep in their sets for years, long past their expiration date. Has his hyper-speed comedy brain ruined his life? Absolutely. He’s one bad Taco Bell experience away from shattering into a million pieces. But it also means that he has the focus to follow through on his wild idiosyncratic ideas. For example, David creates, writes and animates his own cartoon, Fluoride. I’m the voice of Kroger, a lumpy loudmouth dolphin (great to know what David really thinks of me). David is genuine comedic gem and getting new content from him is a big win for humanity.
