As much as you might want to forget this year, it happened and there’s no changing that. The least we can do is roast the shit out of it. It’s the 4th annual Year in Review. Over 40 comedians recap the year with short Weekend Update-style jokes, plus some surprises. I’ll be co-hosting this puppy along with the boys of Bounce House (Aaron Brooks & Andrew Murphy). All proceeds go to the ACLU. Click here to see the full line-up, and save a few bucks by buying tickets in advance.
Yeah, I made the poster. Yeah, I was just looking at Mike Mitchell’s art the whole time. Steal from the best!
Cap City Comedy Club asked me to do some shows the week before Christmas. I’ve put together four fun nights of A Cap City Christmas. I’m structuring it like an old TV special, except I’ll try to sing as little as possible. We will have stand-up from some of my favorite performers in Austin, a little music, and some surprise bits. I think these shows will be pretty special so if you’re in town, come on out. Check out the line-ups for each night and then get yourself some tickets.
On December 9th, I’ll be recording an EP (a lil album) on the show Live at ColdTowne. The EP will be released sometime next year on Sure Thing Records. It should be a fun show – Aaron Brooks & Kerri Lendo are also on the bill and the show will be hosted by Sam Harter and Tai Nguyen. I’m very excited about recording something at ColdTowne. It’s an intimate venue, so if you want to go, getting advance tickets is highly recommended.
Here’s a stupid video Kyle Sweeney and I made in a couple hours.
I’m going on a brief Southern run (and then back to Texas) with my comedy pals Aaron Brooks and Danny Palumbo. we’re calling it the Single-A Champs Comedy Tour. We have a lot of very fun shows lined-up and with some very cool people (including Ryan Singer!). If you have friend in these cities, invite’em to a show! Dates, venues, and more are located on the shows page.
Late last year my wife got her wisdom teeth removed. After the operation, I was talking to her in the recovery room and thought to myself, “maybe I should record this.” Here ya go:
I’ll be doing three headlining shows at the Velveeta Room at the end of the month. The very funny Amber Bixby will also be there. In case you’re thinking, “Uh, I already heard your album, bro” – there will be no repeat material from my album.
Shows are Friday the 29th 9pm, and Saturday the 30th 9pm & 11pm. Tickets here.
